It’s over between Juventus and Wojciech Szczesny
Between Juventus and Wojciech Szczesny è over
Juventus and Wojciech Szczesny have decided to part ways. It was announced by the Juventus club in an official note: "Consensual termination of contract: Wojciech Szczesny and Juventus say goodbye after seven seasons spent together".
"It was July 2017 when Tek, that is what we have all learned to call him, made his first acquaintance with the Juventus environment, after a two-season interlude on loan at Roma, with which he è faced Italian soccer for the first time, landing in Turin from London, Arsenal side. From that day on, the feeling between Tek and the Juventus world è sparked instantly: smiles, mutual passion but above all, passing to the green rectangle, a real certainty between the posts".
" 252 appearances in official matches with the Juventus jersey (23 for one season, then number 1), 200 of them in Serie A: this last milestone allowed him to become the 7th° foreign footballer to reach 200 appearances (since the 1994/95 season) with our colors. 100 clean sheets (103 if we also count the matches in which he did not è remain on the field in full), 9 penalties saved between Serie A (8 out of 31 faced) and Champions League and a 73% save percentage that places him first in Serie A since his arrival in Turin in this special ranking. And then the trophies, 8 in total in his 7 years of militancy in bianconero: 3 Italian championships, 3 Italian Cups and 2 Italian Super Cups. In a moment Tek conquered the Juventini of the world and we are sure that all of us will always carry in our hearts the man and the professional who wore our jersey with pride and commitment. Thank you for everything Tek and best of luck for the future!"
It is still not è clear what will be the next steps of the Polish goalkeeper: in Italy Monza likes him very much even if Adriano Galliani has not yet initiated concrete contacts. The Saudi Arabia hypothesis is there but does not particularly intrigue Szczesny, while in recent days è the option of retirement has also popped up.
