UFC, Dana White postpone Conor McGregor’s return
The 36-year-old Irishman responded via social
Conor McGregor è a legend in the UFC world. A former champion in the light-heavyweight and featherweight categories, the Irishman hasn't fought since July 2021 (leg injury in his match with Dustin Poirier). Now, però, Conor McGregor is eager to return to the ring and prove that he can still be the outclassman admired in the past.
Everyone expected his regal return before the end of 2024. A hypothesis erased by the words of Dana White, president of the UFC: "We talked and he wants to fight. We will see but it won't be this year. Not this year", the words of the federation's No. 1 reported by ESPN.
In fact, Dana White has postponed Conor McGregor’s return to 2025. A decision that did not è please the Irish fighter who, through X, made his thoughts on the matter known: "Ah Dana, December è the date. Close out the year with a super event. Come on, what's up? Next month I start preparing for the match…. December! Tell Dana and the UFC that we want December. We need December".
The feeling è that, despite pressure from Conor McGregor himself, we will have to wait a little longer to see him back in action. His many injuries may have made him less "combative" than in his heyday (he has lost three of his last four fights). To find out the truth; we will have to wait until 2025.
