Diego Nargiso knows how to revitalize Jannik Sinner

Jannik Sinner is not going through an easy time in his hitherto splendid 2024: physical problems and retirement at the Olympics have left a mark on the Blue, who in Montreal showed that he is still behind in condition and not at his best. Former tennis player Diego Nargiso in Libero spoke about the South Tyrolean's particular moment: "Jannik we know him well, some of his choices may seem unpopular but in Paris he didn&#39t go because he was sick".

According to Nargiso, Jannik is recharging himself ahead of the second half of the year: "These days he is preparing the’approach to Flushing Meadows and doing so with his usual seriousness. He has been world No. 1 for ten weeks, has already won a Slam and dragged Italy to the Davis Cup.  He will get on the right side this time too, winning and surprising again".

For Nargiso Sinner will not feel too much pressure to win by force: "He è used, by character, to master pressure. He has made it clear that these situations do not make him feel bad and there’è to believe him".

Nargiso è sure that it will be Sinner’s own rival, Carlos Alcaraz, who will motivate him to improve further: "I have come to the conclusion that psychologically Alcaraz’s successes will generate in Sinner the desire to improve more and more. Remember Federer and Nadal? In recent times they both confessed the same concept: Roger è served me to improve my tennis, Rafa è was my reference point to raise the level of my game".
