It's a certainly not satisfied Luca Gotti who presented himself to the microphones of 'Sky Sport' after the net 0-4 suffered by Lecce against Atalanta on the first day of the 2024/2025 Serie A championship. The Salentini coach tried to explain what è went wrong, without mincing words.
"In this match we è saw all the difference between us and them,” the Giallorossi coach began.
In the first 35 minutes we tried to bother Atalanta with our weapons, but then we conceded goals on counterattacks and mismanaged the last minutes of the first half, conceding the double just before halftime.
"We didn't let them run, we didn't let them get tired,'
added Gotti. In the first minutes of the second half we tried to get back into the game, but then there'è was the penalty episode that definitely addressed it. Losing like that hurts, we need to review a few things.”
Responding to a question about possible new arrivals in these last days of the soccer market, the Lecce coach è was categorical: "It is not my way of looking at things, I do not talk about the market: I have to look at the match again, understand where the defensive errors on the goals came from and understand why we made so many mistakes from the point of view of dribbling. That's what I have to deal with".
