Hideki Matsuyama recorded his second victory of the season by triumphing at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, the first playoff event on this year's PGA Tour.
The Japanese golfer finished the tournament with an overall score of -17, edging out Xander Schauffele and Viktor Hovland, who finished at -15, and Scottie Scheffler, fourth with -14.
Sam Burns and Nick Dunlop, both with a score of -13, shared fifth place, while Wyndham Clark and Robert McIntyre finished seventh with -12.
In early August, Matsuyama won the bronze medal in the men's golf tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympics, placing behind Scheffler, a gold medalist, and Tommy Fleetwood, a silver medalist.
