Jannik Sinner: Nicola Pietrangeli has doubts and doesn’t understand
Former Italian tennis player Nicola Pietrangeli also had his say on the Jannik Sinner case: "What I don't understand è why did they take away the points and money he won in Indian Wells if he's innocent?”", è his question to Adnkronos. "I am sure that Jannik is and in his place I would have appealed to get back the points and money he earned in the California tournament".
Pietrangeli expressed his doubts about the decision: "This Independent Tribunal convinces me little, è a decision that leaves doubts. I believe that Jannik decided not to appeal because heé advised by his lawyers but if it had happened to me I would not have accepted that a half-hearted decision".
"If I am innocent I want the points and money I am entitled to", concluded the'former tennis player. Sinner will è have his 400 points from the Indian Wells semifinal subtracted, in addition to the $300,000 prize money he earned for making it that far in the tournament.
Sinner in a statement explained that he had lifted a weight off his shoulders, and was ready to focus on the US Open.
