Unlucky draw for Jasmine Paolini
Jasmine Paolini, who is dreaming of a third consecutive Slam final, was unlucky in the draw for the U.S. Open women’s tournament.
The Paris gold medalist finds herself in the top half of the draw, the same side that features such top players as Swiatek, Rybakina and the reborn Jessica Pegula. Moreover, her journey will begin with a particularly difficult challenge against the former champion of this tournament, Bianca Andreescu.
The last U.S. Open in women's tennis was won by Coco Gauff. In the final, the U.S. defeated Aryna Sabalenka by the score of 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, making a spectacular comeback after losing the first set.
