F1, Ferrari: Carlos Sainz pinpoints problem after a Saturday to forget
Carlos Sainz out of the top ten
It's going to be an inevitably uphill Grand Prix d'Holland, at least in the early stages, for Carlos Sainz, who in Zandvoort didn't make it past Q2 and will be forced to start from 11th position. At the microphones of 'Sky Sport', Ferrari’s Spaniard explained what made him struggle on this Saturday for him to forget.
"This è a competition in which there are no secrets or miracles,” he said.
We lost the only free practice session on the dry and this penalized us in qualifying. Plus, the car on this track doesn't go as fast as we would like, although clearly the goal è to regain as many positions as possible tomorrow".
"The track does not make it easy to overtake – added the son of art – but that does not mean that we will not run in attack. So far we have not been the fastest but we must definitely try to get an important result, although the difficulties are there and today they were highlighted".
So far Sainz è season has been characterized by a certain regularity in terms of results: the high points are the success in Australia and third places in Bahrain, Japan, Monaco and Austria, and apart from the missed race in Jeddah due to appendicitis and the withdrawal in Canada he has never finished below sixth place, at least until the Belgian GP.
