Romelu Lukaku-Napoli: now we’re there
Romelu Lukaku-Napoli: now è done
Romelu Lukaku will soon be a new Napoli player. After numerous weeks of negotiations, the partenopei have finally reached an agreement in principle with Chelsea for the purchase of the Belgian center forward. Unlocking the deal was the Campania club's decision to accept the outright acquisition.
As reported by "Il Corriere dello Sport", the parties reportedly reached the agreement on the basis of a 30 million euro offer plus a future resale that could reach up to 30 percent. The former Roma and Inter Milan player will go on to sign a three-year contract, until 2027, worth 6 million euros net per season.
New contacts between the parties would be expected in the coming hours to iron out the final details and arrive at the final white smoke. At that point, Lukaku will makeà return to Italy to conduct medical examinations, sign the new contract and make himself available to coach Antonio Conte.
Beyond the Belgian, Napoli would be working to further strengthen the midfield, where the main targets remain McTominay of Manchester United and Gilmour of Brighton. On the outgoing front, however, the situation related to Victor Osimhen is still holding court, for whom no offers would have yet arrived that would satisfy Aurelio De Laurentiis’ demands to let the Nigerian center forward leave.
