Red Bull, Helmut Marko reveals biggest concern
Red Bull, Helmut Marko unveils biggest worry
Speaking at the microphones of "Sky Sport Deutschland", Red Bull consultant Helmut Marko bluntly analyzed the domination of Lando Norris at the Zandvoort GP, who won the GP by a wide margin over Max Verstappen. The Austrian manager, more in detail, listed his major concerns after the race in the Netherlands.
"It's an alarming result, especially if you look at Norris's fastest lap on the last lap without DRS, turning in 1:13.8. So, as Max said before the summer break, the team needs to work harder and find improvements becauseè otherwise both championships are at risk. Nine second places will not be enough" began the Austrian manager.
"We believed that even if Lando got the better of us at the start, we could still win the race, but the strange thing è that Piastri had almost the same speed as Lando and once he è got behind Leclerc, he è couldnè’t get past him. When Norris caught up with Max, however, he è passed and went away easily, so I don't know what the difference is and why é" continued the Red Bull consultant.
"There are many different ideas and ways, but we have to do something. We need to understand the car better and improve the balance, so that the driver can have more confidence and wear less tires. The upgrades must bring improvement, not only theoretically, but also in terms of lap time. From a chronometric point of view, we did not get the same result shown in the simulations. The conditions here were ideal for McLaren, but not all tracks will be like thisì" concluded Helmut Marko.
