Logan Sargeant at risk: Sebastian Vettel gives advice to Williams
Sebastian Vettel bets on Mick Schumacher
After the FP3 accident at Zandvoort that made the upgrades brought by Williams to Holland useless, Logan Sargeant’s stay at the Grove-based stable would be increasingly in the balance. The American driver, in fact, could even be relieved of his duties while the championship is in progress. Should such a hypothesis become a reality, at the microphones of the "Bild", former Red Bull and Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel reportedly sent advice to the British team regarding a possible replacement.
" I know I am definitely influenced by the fact that è a friend of mine, but I think Mick Schumacher is the best option for Williams in several respects. He knows the Mercedes power unit since he è the third driver of the Brackley stable and è matured a lot compared to his two years in F1" debuted the German driver.
"Many people have gotten the wrong idea about Mick. During his time behind the wheel of Haas he made many mistakes, è true, but he did not have a competitive car" added Sebastian Vettel.
Logan Sargeant, even if he is confirmed, will leave Williams at the end of the season to make room for Carlos Sainz coming from Ferrari, which has decided to bet on Lewis Hamilton for 2025.
