Now McLaren does not rule out team orders
McLaren team principal Andrea Stella has not ruled out team orders in the upcoming Grands Prix if Lando Norris really competes with Max Verstappen for the world title. Norris dominated the Dutch Grand Prix, distancing the world champion by 20 seconds, and now he really dreams big for the last races of the season.
"For each race we analyze situations and in 50-50 situations or in cases where Lando might need a little more support from the team, we will give it", are the words of Stella reported by Gazzetta dello Sport.
Stella però pointed out that it will beà essential to remain united: "The team also includes Oscar Piastri. So, the team should not do things that do not seem reasonable for Oscar. We are all together".
After Zandvoort, Verstappen leads with 295 points, while Lando Norris è second at 225, 70 lengths behind. In third is Charles Leclerc, at 192 points. In the constructors’ standings, Red bull leads with just a 30-point margin over McLaren.
