Federico Ceccherini from Hellas Verona to Cremonese

Cremonese announced, a few hours before the end of the summer market, that it has strengthened its defensive department with the outright acquisition of Federico Ceccherini, a 1992 class athlete from Hellas Verona, with whom he has played since 2020 except for a parenthesis in Turkey, at Fatih Karagümrük, in the second part of last season.

Ceccherini, who will wear the grigiorossa uniform with the number 23 on his shoulders, signed a contract valid until June 30, 2026. Prior to his experiences at Verona and Turkey, he wore the jerseys of Livorno (with which he also completed the youth ranks), Pistoiese, Crotone and Fiorentina.

With him, Cremonese goes to reinforce the roster at the disposal of coach Giovanni Stroppa, a club that last season came close to returning to Serie A, losing only in the playoff final against Venezia (0-0 in the first leg at Zini, 1-0 for the lagoon players at their home with Christian Gyktyaer’s decisive goal).

In the first three matches of 2024/2025, the grigiorossi scored as many points, the result of a 1-0 victory on the second day against newly promoted Carrarese. The other two matches equally ended 1-0, but to the disadvantage, that of the first day in Cosenza and that of the third, in Cremona, against Palermo.
