Marc Marquez keeps up the attention

Marc Marquez crossed the finish line in front of everyone in MotoGp for the first time since Misano 2021: he did it in the Sprint Race run on Saturday at Motorland Aragon, and expectations are high for Sunday’s race in which the number 93, who will startà from the pole position, è inevitably the favorite.

Despite this, Marquez himself did not want to get too excited: "You have to enjoy every moment and although it is only a sprint, today we have to celebrate" he said on the sidelines of another day to remember, which began with dominance in qualifying and closed with success in the short race in the afternoon.

The Catalan then surprised the insiders by saying he did not have an easy life and calling "small" the victory, in spite of what was seen on the track: "It was a complicated race and tomorrow it will be even more so – his surprising words – especially in tire management, but for now we have to be happy. Even this victory, small as it is, is part of the process of growth that we continue to do".

An eight-time world champion, one in 125, one in Moto2 and six in MotoGp, Marc Marquez had not won a race in MotoGP since Oct. 24, 2021: that success è was followed by a series of physical problems that, combined with Honda’s overall decline in performance, had often brought him to the back of the pack. Coming to Ducati this year, with Team Gresini he has won four podiums so far in Sunday races (three second places, one third) and six in Sprints (five second places and today’s first).
