It'll be the Montmeló circuit, in the Barcelona metropolitan area, that will host the last weekend of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship. Official confirmation è arrived via MotoGp channels late Tuesday morning. The title of the premier class, the only one not yet arithmetically decided (in Moto2 won Ai Ogura, in Moto3 David Alonso) will therefore be decided in Catalonia.

"MotoGp canò confirm that the curtain of the 2024 World Championship will close in Barcelona. – reads the official note from the organizers of the rainbow event -. We will return to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where the world championship will be decided, on the original dates of the season finale, November 15-17. The Grand Prix will be an opportunity to show solidarity with the Comunità Valenciana".

"The event,” Dorna and FIM further explain, “was previously scheduled to take place in Valencia before the devastating flooding that heavily affected the region. We decided to hold the last Grand Prix of the season, taking into account the sporting context and the positive impact of the event: we owe it to our fans, our paddock, the sport and Valencia".

"Instead of running in Valencia, the MotoGP will run for Valencia. For all those affected and for the entire Valencian Community. MotoGp asked the authorities to run in Barcelona because they felt it was the best possible choice. It's the easiest option for fans who were already planning to take part in the weekend and offers an almost perfect alternative in terms of personnel and logistics".

"We continue to be committed to our mission of making a positive impact on people wherever we race. In this case, racing close to the Valencia Community will also allow the paddock to put this goal into practice in an even more direct way" further explain the World Cup organizers.
