Italy overwhelmed by Argentina in Udine

Argentina overwhelms Italy 50-18 (17-10) in what è was the first test match of the 'Autumn Nations Series' for both formations.

The Azzurri closed the first half down by seven points, started better in the second half and then succumbed at a distance against the deluxe Pumas, who added to the list the fifth Tier 1 beaten in 5 months after France, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa.

Italy scored with a penalty goal in the first half and with Nicotera in the second half, but it wasn&#39t enough. Argentina è went in goal seven times with Mallia, Bertranou, Sclavi, Albornoz, Cordero, Alemanno and Delguy.

The 'Player of the match' award went to Pumas and Benetton Treviso opener Tomas Albornoz, the evening&#39s matador having scored 20 points with a try, six conversions and a spot kick. Rugby Italy will be back on the field Sunday 17 in Genoa to face Georgia.
