There'è those who have already called it the most stinging elimination in MLS history. Entering the post season as the No. 1 seed on the board, Inter Miami, after dominating the regular season, was eliminated from the playoffs by Atlanta United. Game 3 was decisive with Inter Miami losing 3-2.

Down 1-2 at halftime, Inter Miami found the equalizer with the usual Messi but, at 76', Slisz è managed to score the 3-2 goal in favor of Atlanta United that closed the accounts, leading to the elimination of Inter Miami. Much controversy, especially during the action of Atlanta United's third goal with an Inter Miami player on the ground.

Coach Tata Martino also complained in the post-match about a missed penalty: "In the first half there's a clear, very clear penalty. … Luis’ (Suarez, ed.) shot hit the hand of an opposing player and the referee did not even check. This play for me è was decisive", his words reported by ESPN.

The bitter elimination certified Miami’s difficulties in the MLS playoffs. Incredibly, the team owned by David Beckham has è never gone beyond the first round. This elimination weighs especially heavily, as the team looked poised to go all the way and lift the MLS champion trophy.
