ATP Finals, Bolelli and Vavassori beat Bopanna and Ebden

Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori are off to the best possible start in the doubles tournament at the ATP Finals in Turin. In fact, the duo composed of the veteran from Bologna and the 29-year-old who grew up in Rivoli defeated Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden, a pair that has often crossed arms with the Italian one, without any particular worries, coming out defeated for the third consecutive time at the level of direct clashes.

6-2, 6-3 the partials of the two sets that delivered the first points Bolelli and Vavassori can boast in the ranking of the round dedicated to Bob Bryan. The match, in fact, è was a long monologue of the Italian pair, always effective and above all never at a disadvantage during the 57 minutes of play in front of the audience flocked to the stands of the Inalpi Arena.

The next match of the two representatives of the Tricolor will be played on Wednesday, November 13, starting at 11:30 a.m. at the earliest: the opponents will be the Germans Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz, who in the first match got the better of Salvadoran Marcelo Arevalo and his doubles partner, Croatian Mate Pavic, with the final score of two sets to zero (6-3, 6-4).

Bolelli and Vavassori are contesting the ATP Finals after a brilliant season in doubles, in which they won three ATP tournaments (Buenos Aires, Halle and Beijing) and reached two finals, both in Slam tournaments, at the Australian Open (where they were defeated by Bopanna and Ebden themselves) and Roland Garros (where, instead, Arevalo and Pavic won).
