ATP Finals: more trouble for Carlos Alcaraz
Carlos Alcaraz’s complicated ATP Finals continues. Jannik Sinner’s great rival after his first-round loss to Casper Ruud had confessed to having a nagging cold and not being well. And things did not improve on Tuesday, indeed: the Murcia tennis player, after just 10 minutes, had to stop the morning training session.
The world number three continues to experience discomfort and preferred to stay at rest and save his strength, ahead of Wednesday’s match against Russian Andrey Rublev, already decisive for his stay in the tournament in Turin.
After the match with Rublev in a press conference Alcaraz had complained about the schedule: "It's too compressed, you start accumulating days and weeks non-stop between travel and tournaments and those who say otherwise are lying".
Alcaraz è felt mentally tired against Ruud: " So many games, so few days off and so little time to train at home. Finish one tournament and you have to go play the next one on the’other side of the world".
