Marc Marquez: "Without Ducati I would have retired"

During an interview given to the Youtube channel of "MotoGp", Spanish centaur Marc Marquez è returned to the decision to say goodbye to Honda after a good 11 seasons in favor of the Ducati of the Gresini team, which allowed him to become competitive again, regain confidence and a smile and get promotion to the official team from 2025.

"The change è was apt, becauseè without Ducati this year I would have announced my retirement. I had many question marks in my mind, but now all the doubts are gone. I feel I am back to a competitive level. I would not say that of 2019, but rather a level sufficient to continue working and having that special spirit that is needed in MotoGp. I was able to savor again the taste of victory, of podiums and I rediscovered the intensity that you feel fighting at the top" began the Spanish centaur.

"After the centers of Aragon and Misano, I always tried to repeat myself, sinceé winning è like a drug. The long fast of success, però helped me understand that victories are not the norm. When you donà t excel, the mindset changes, you evaluate things differently. Triumphing gives; a lot of confidence and è something that, after three or four years without results and full of injuries, I was starting to lose. Now è everything is different, I do not know if è because of the bike or the physical condition, but between good races, podiums and victories, my morale è returned very high" continued the'former Honda rider.

"With the most competitive bike on the grid è itè easier to fight for victories, but itè not a given. Pecco will be è the reference inside our box and my goal è to get closer to his level. I hope we will both fight for the title, it would highlight our competitiveness. I believe a lot in Ducati, I have confidence in the staff and I think we will have the best bike for the next two years. Then you never know, becauseé this è a competition" added the'eight-time world champion.

"With Bagnaia I am sure that a very good professional relationship will be created. We will help Ducati and try to win the title. It's my goal for the next few years" concluded Marc Marquez.
