Milan, no raise for Davide Calabria: captain heading for goodbye
The Rossoneri captain è getting closer to the'farewell.
AC Milan soccer market: Davide Calabria, technically the Rossoneri captain, è increasingly close to leaving the team at the end of the season on a zero-parameter basis. The right-back, having overcome physical problems, è now at the disposal of Paulo Fonseca, who però is not considering him. And with the prospect of a renewal getting more and more distant, the farewell is approaching instead.
Confirming this è the 'Gazzetta dello Sport', according to which even Emerson Royal’s faltering performance is not convincing Fonseca to raise Calabria’s odds at AC Milan. The club, for its part, is doing little to counter this situation, so much so that no raises continue to come in for the possible discussion of a contract extension.
The feeling è therefore, that Calabria will continue the season as a substantial back-up for Milan, slowly approaching the summer of 2025 and the time when he will undress the Rossoneri jersey to start a new adventure for a different team. The first for him, who è remained loyal to the Diavolo since the tender age of 11.
In recent weeks there had been talk of possible interest for him from Galatasaray, resulting in a move to Turkey. Clearly, the prospect of ending up on the market as a free agent could also attract other suitors to Calabria, considering the more than 250 official appearances he has already made with a prestigious team like Milan.
