MotoGP: Jorge Martin world champion! Bitter victory for Pecco Bagnaia

Jorge Martin becomes MotoGP world champion for the first time in his career: the Ducati Pramac team centaur in Barcelona manages in the best possible way the advantage he had over Bagnaia, finishing third in the race without risking anything.

Nothing to do and great regret for the Piedmontese rider of the Ducati Lenovo team, who wins the last Grand Prix of the year and his 11th of the season (against Martin’s 3) but pays for less regularity than his rival and finishes 10 points behind the newly crowned world champion. Second place on the Barcelona podium for Marc Marquez, who finishes third in the overall standings ahead of Enea Bastianini.

The race: Pecco Bagnaia gets off to a good start and immediately sets the pace, followed by Marc Marquez who passes Jorge Martin on the second lap. The world leader does not chase the leading duo and prefers to manage, not to risk anything. The Pramac team centaur è favored by the tussle behind him, with Enea Bastianini, Aleix Espargarò and Alex Marquez battling for fourth position.

As the laps went by, the leading positions crystallized, Bagnaia resisting the pressure of his future teammate and attempting the stretch to close out the season with a victory. Martin behind them è in control in third position and sees the title getting closer.

Final without any twists and turns, bitter victory for Pecco Bagnaia, ahead of Marc Marquez and Jorge Martin, who centered the iris with a satellite team bike.
