Thomas Ceccon makes a revelation about Jannik Sinner

Thomas Ceccon, one of the top athletes of Italian swimming and a gold medalist in Paris 2024, spoke on the sidelines of an event in Parma about his meeting with tennis number one Jannik Sinner, which took place a few days ago in Turin at the ATP Finals. "I was very excited about meeting Jannik Sinner in Turin. We exchanged a few words about the match he had played, è it was an acquainting moment. I really hope to get to know him better, although time è just little for both of us", the words reported by the Quotidiano Sportivo. 

"At this time we are both prominent athletes in Italy and the world. Of course, I am Olympic and world champion, but in swimming I am not the only one, while in tennis there is only one so high… I am trying to set a good example, like him".

Sinner and Ceccon are peers, both born in 2001. In a recent interview with Sportal.it, the Olympic swimmer had spoken about Jannik: "I like his mentality so much. In swimming he has to be mentally strong, but not as much as in tennis: you can be down two sets and then recover in the other three, he showed us how it is done”.

“In swimming you go for it: you go, you win, you lose, it’s not è as difficult, in my opinion, as tennis. If I play against Jannik tomorrow? In my opinion it ends 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, for him of course.
