The words of Max Verstappen

Speaking at the microphones of "Sky Sport F1", Red Bull driver Max Verstappen bluntly analyzed his fifth place finish in qualifying at the Las Vegas GP. Among other topics, in addition, the Dutchman also dwelt on the fact that he will start ahead of Lando Norris ahead of the race.

"Lando è behind me, but I cannot be fully satisfied with fifth place. Both long runs went badly, so I don’t know what to expect ahead of the race. Overall we worked well together, we tried many different things to figure out what was the right direction. I think we found it, but clearly it was not enough to fight for pole" began the Dutch driver.

"Our car è very difficult to drive here, I would say that the problem è related to the tires: it was very complicated to make the tires work and this prevented us from getting the maximum. I tried to do my best, although I knew that I lacked grip and top speed because of the rear wing" added the three-time world champion.

"We don't have a specific low-load wing that would be perfect for circuits like Monza and Las Vegas. È something we obviously decided to do from the beginning for budget reasons. Maybe è something we have to reconsider, because it seems to me that it is not very efficient to race this way,è it is also true that there is only one year left with these regulations and therefore, maybe, it does not even make sense to do it" concluded Max Verstappen.
