Napoli, De Laurentis and Antonio Conte pay tribute to Diego Maradona
Four years after the passing of Diego Armando Maradona, Aurelio De Laurentiis, Antonio Conte and Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo paid tribute to the Argentine legend by visiting murals in the Spanish quarters and in San Giovanni a Teduccio.
On CRC radio, SSC Napoli communications director Nicola Lombardo explained the Azzurri's initiative: "President De Laurentiis and Antonio Conte decided to go to remember Diego Armando Maradona, who passed away 4 years ago. Giovanni Di Lorenzo also è wanted to join them as soon as he heard. Napoli visited both the mural in the Quartieri Spagnoli and the one in San Giovanni a Teduccio, and the choice to go to both places è was the President".
"We preferred not to communicate this to anyone, to make this visit as private as possible. Of course, in the Spanish Quarters there’were so many people".
"I was pleased to discover the mural in San Giovanni a Teduccio, in Totonno Juliano’s neighborhood. Juliano è was one of the most extraordinary protagonists in the history of Napoli and, by the way, è was among those who at that time helped bring Maradona to Napoli".
