Naples, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s renewal gets complicated

Napoli wants to hold on to Kvaratskhelia but, at the moment, negotiations for the renewal of his contract expiring in June 2027 è on stand-by. The parties are talking without però finding an agreement that satisfies everyone. Probably, it will be discussed during next summer.

Meanwhile, also thanks to the Georgian star's excellent performance on the field (five goals in 13 games), there are several top European clubs that would be thinking of stepping up and trying to snatch him from Napoli. First PSG and Barcelona, now Manchester United. The Red Devils are desperate to find a new ace to whom they can entrust the club’s resurgence.

De Laurentiis does not seem to be in a hurry. Besides the serenity of a contract valid until 2027, there's the knowledge that he has what it takes to convince Kvaratskhelia to stay. There is talk of an offer of as much as six million euros (as of today he earns 1.5 million a season).

The problem è that there would be clubs able to offer a higher salary to the Georgian. Perhaps, with another small effort on the part of Napoli, it might be possible to arrive at the much coveted white smoke although, it should be stressed, there's no anxiety to find a solution quickly.
