Juventus, not just Joshua Zirkzee: another track in the Premier League pops up
Juventus on Evan Ferguson
The recent injury to Dusan Vlahovic has exposed all the gaps at the offensive level of the Juventus squad, which has been held to two consecutive 0-0 scores without being able to create major scoring chances. Given the difficulties and the emergency, Dt Cristiano Giuntoli would already be working to reinforce Thiago Motta's roster in the winter soccer market session. For quite some time, the name at the top of the list would be Joshua Zirkzee of Manchester United, but in the last few days several alternatives would have taken share.
According to a report by "Il Corriere dello Sport", the quotations of Evan Ferguson from Brighton and Lorenzo Lucca from Udinese would have risen considerably. As for the Irish center forward class 2004, the Bianconeri would have already taken the first information and in the coming weeks the negotiation could undergo a decisive acceleration accomplice also to the will of the player to leave Brighton. More complicated, however, is the track leading to the Azzurri striker, since the Friulian club would not be willing to deprive itself of one of its best elements in the current season.
Jonathan David, soon to be a zero-parameter and among the very first choices of top European clubs for the summer, is also not lost sight of. However, on the Canadian striker there would already be the interest also of Inter and Barcelona. Finally, a potential low-cost opportunity could be represented by former Udinese player Beto should Everton decide to open to a loan transfer.
Before the striker, however, the priority for Juventus for the January market will be the purchase of at least one central defender to make up for the serious injuries to Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal, who ended the season prematurely.
