F1, Ferrari and McLaren play for a long-awaited World Cup

24 points lead for the British stable

With two GPs to go in the long F1 season, the Constructors’ Championship still has no new master. In fact, only McLaren and Ferrari are left to play for it. The British team has a 24-point lead over the Cavallino, which has significantly decreased the disadvantage lately and now dreams of the final overtaking.

At the Rossa’s home, Leclerc and Sainz have decided to set aside their issues to focus exclusively on the constructors’ title, which, in Maranello, they have been waiting for all their lives. The last Constructors World Championship è came back in 2008, when there were Raikkonen and Massa in Ferrari.

Even more dated is McLaren's last triumph. One must, in fact, go back to the 1998 season with Hakkinen and Coulthard riding the British team’s single-seaters. Ferrari has more wins overall (16). McLaren è stopped at eight. By winning, it would join Williams, second in the All-time list of constructors’ titles at nine.

The Qatar GP could already be decisive. So many points at stake (there'è also the Sprint) and, therefore, the possibility, by both of them to make a fundamental step towards a title that is worth a lot, both in economic terms and in terms of prestige. There'è only to see who will return to the party after so many years of lean cows.
