The Dutch coach’s contract will last until June 2027.

Van Nistelrooy, a former Netherlands international striker (70 appearances and 35 goals), expressed his enthusiasm via the club“s social channels: “I“m proud and looking forward to getting started, getting to know everyone and giving my all for this team”.

After a season at the helm of PSV Eindhoven, culminating in winning the Netherlands Cup, the 48-year-old coach showed further managerial skills during an interim stint at Manchester United, where he è remained unbeaten in four matches (3 wins, 1 draw).

The challenge ahead is not è simple: the Foxes currently occupy the 16º place in the Premier League, coming off a black period with 4 defeats in the last 5 games. To turn the team around, Van Nistelrooy will have to prove he can live up to his reputation as a promising coach, relying on his experience and skills to turn things around.
