After three consecutive defeats, all without adding a single point to its standings, Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza got back on the road by overcoming Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina in the Superleague’s tenth day match, with a clear 3-0 victory resulting from sets won 25-23, 25-21 and 25-20. The Emilian team thus regains third place, moving up to 20 points as Lube Civitanova.

"Today the important thing was just to win,” Piacenza head coach Andrea Anastasi said after the game, “we were not brilliant but I am glad to have seen on the court some players who è been idle for weeks. Uros struggled up front but very good in the second line, Grottazzolina has two points in the standings but è a dangerous team".

"We were orderly at the wall and did well in defense,” he added, “I am happy becauseé even in batting when è it was necessary weè saw good effectiveness as in the second and third sets. We have won seven matches so far, and with all the problems we have had that is not a few".
