A three-quarter Italian challenge characterized the first round of the Milan Premier Padel P1, with Riccardo Sinicropi and Lorenzo Di Giovanni claiming success against another tricolor athlete, Marco Cassetta, the latter paired with Spaniard Miki Solbes. 2-6, 7-5, 6-4 was the score in favor of the all-Italian pair.

At the conclusion of the match, Di Giovanni wanted to make a special dedication for the success: "Before the match I said to myself: 'if I win I do it, I dedicate it to my wife who è pregnant' and finally I did it, the dedication è for her. After the first few games, I started to adapt and told myself to have fun and enjoy this atmosphere".

"Naming my son Riccardo after my teammate? It's an idea" then joked Di Giovanni, leaving the floor just to Sinicropi who spoke instead about the performance of the match: " We were good at staying in the match. We knew it would take little to turn it around and that&#39s how it was. Now we hope to have fun and continue playing our best padel".

The next opponents of the Sinicropi-Di Giovanni pair will be Sanyo Gutierrez and José Diestro, number 10 seeded players. The former, in particular, è a very fearsome player, so much so that he is still in the running for a spot in the Premier Padel Finals, reserved for the 16 best players in the FIP Race.

Riccardo Sinicropi and Lorenzo Di Giovanni thus goì to join another representative of the Bel Paese, Facundo Dominguez, who in the morning had gained access to the second round of the tournament being held in Milan, paired with the Argentine Nacho Piotto.
