McLaren, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri don’t feel like champions yet

Three years later, the Abu Dhabi GP is back to be decisive for at least one of the two world titles in F1. After the duel between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton in 2021, this year, however, the Yas Marina circuit will be the stage for the challenge between McLaren and Ferrari for the Constructors’ title, with the Woking team having a 21-point lead du that of Maranello. A few days before the appointment, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri expressed their feelings to the team's official channels.
"It's definitely been a season I'll never forget, from my first win in Miami to the battle for the Drivers's title. The whole team did an incredible job to give us a really fun car to drive this season and I want to thank everyone for that. Abu Dhabi è always a great place to end the season. Now we have to finish the job" these are the words of Lando Norris.
"It's nice to arrive in Abu Dhabi after a podium, now the focus è all on the Constructors’ Championship. We are leading the standings, but everything canè change in a moment, so we have to be at our best, focused and determined to finish the job" these, instead, the statements of Oscar Piastri.
Ahead of the distance challenge with Ferrari, McLaren official channels è team principal Andrea Stella also spoke: "After a long but satisfying season, we now head to Abu Dhabi for the last race of the year. I am proud of each and every team member for their hard work and commitment to McLaren, which has put the team in a position to fight for the Constructors Championship, which was unthinkable just 12 months ago. I know Lando and Oscar will give it their all and both have had a fantastic season. We are determined to get the job done as a team, it will not beà easy, but we will give it our all".
