Mikaela Shiffrin stares at return to track after bad fall

Mikaela Shiffrin plans her return to the track after the very bad fall she suffered Saturday in the second run of the Killington giant slalom.The U.S. skier suffered a puncture on the right side of her abdomen and a muscle injury, but it could have been much worse, as she explained in an interview with the Washington Post.

"I was certainly very lucky. But I also never felt so much pain. In the bed I could not move to my side", said the ski champion, who has already set a date to return to the slopes.

Shiffrin will remainà at least two weeks in total rest, then resume training: she will definitely skip the races in Beaver Creek and St.Moritz, but the goalè to return in time for the weekend in Austria in Semmering.

In the past just in Semmering the American has taken several satisfaction, winning 7 races in her career.
