Trento falls to Gran Canaria, but Galbiati ‘liked the spirit’

Galbiati remains optimistic

Dolomiti Energia Trentino falls at home against Gran Canaria in the tenth day of the EuroCup. The HCL team struggles with determination despite a complicated night in shooting, but è the Spanish one to impose itself with the final result of 70-81 thanks to an extraordinary performance of Homesley.

Aquila Basket started better, even reaching +5, but the guests’ defense grew in intensity, putting Trento in trouble and forcing it to several lost balls. Despite a good construction of open shots, the bianconeri struggle to score, while Gran Canaria, even against excellent defenses, still manages to find effective offensive solutions. 

Coach Paolo Galbiati commented on the defeat in the press conference: "È very difficult to play against Gran Canaria becauseé they are a physical, very talented and experienced team with very long rotations. I è liked the spirit of my guys, we missed a lot of open shots and lay ups while defensively they punished us on every mistake we made".

"We struggled with their physicality" but this è the level of EuroCup and so we have to do better to win. Now we have four away games that will allow us to be together a lot and improve even more the chemistry of the group" concluded the coach of the bianconeri.
