Esteban Ocon’s greeting to Alpine'Alpine

Esteban Ocon's adventure in Alpine è ended one race early, as the Frenchman will be replaced by Jack Doohan in the Abu Dhabi GP. After the officialdom of the early farewell, the transalpine driver, through a long message on his social profiles, wanted to thank the team for the support, without, however, hiding a little frustration for the epilogue.

"I would first like to thank the mechanics and engineers […] who have raced alongside me for the past five seasons. We have shared so much together and I am proud to call many of you friends.

I leave Alpine/Renault with great memories and the pride of having been the driver who brought the best results to the team since its return to the sport, standing on the two highest steps of the podium in Bahrain, Hungary and Brazil. È it was also an honor to participate in winning the fourth position in the Constructors’ Championship in 2022. I know how important all these moments were for everyone and to feel that sense of accomplishment and joy together with the team è what I will take with me.

It è has not been an easy year for the team and the second half of the season è has been particularly difficult. For various reasons. I have no regrets, knowing that I gave 100 percent in every single session. As I always have. I apologize to the hundreds of hard-working men and women at Enstone and Viry, for not being able to visit you in person and say goodbye properly.

As you know, the plan è always been to run one last time this weekend and say goodbye to you personally next week. I was looking forward to doing both. I didn’t want it to end like this. That said, the world of F1 è small and I am sure I will see many of you again soon. I would also like to wish only great things to my friend Jack, who will take the next big step in his career in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this week. Thank you".
