Women’s Italrugby starts again with Fabio Roselli
Fabio Roselli new coach of women's Italy
Just hours after the official parting of ways between the women's national team and Nanni Raineri, the Italian Rugby Federation itself has announced that it has entrusted the role of women's Italrugby coach to Fabio Roselli, former coach of the men's Under-20 team and Zebre in the URC.
"I am honored,” Roselli commented, “I thank the Italian Rugby Federation for choosing me in such an important role. It's a great chance for me to test myself in top-level contexts such as the Guinness Women’s Six Nations and the Rugby World Cup, after my experiences with Zebre Parma and the Men’s U20 National Team".
"I would like, però to thank Nanni,” he added, “for what he has done in the last two years at the helm of the women’s national team: with him I have shared on the field, wearing the Rugby Roma jersey, some of the most important joys of my playing career and I am happy to find a solid, proven group that combines experience and freshness and that, thanks to his work and that of the technical staff, has achieved the goal of qualifying for the next World Cup".
"I will immediately get to work to get on top form for the debut in the Six Nations: we will have a couple of months to do so, but I am sure that the girls will put as always all the effort possible to achieve performances to be proud of" concluded the new technical commissioner.
