Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini insatiable. At the end of a stellar season that saw them win the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, the Billie Jean King Cup and the WTA 1000 in Rome, as well as titles in Linz and Beijing, the Azzurri are aiming even higher for 2025.
Interviewed by Piero Chiambretti, during the SuperTennis Awards, Sara Errani commented on the feats of the Olympic gold medalist, relaunching the challenge for 2025: "It was the dream of a lifetime, the biggest goal. We had a beautiful season and this year I believed in it a little bit more. In doubles we will try to become the number one in the world".
Paolini, on the other hand, explained her incredible growth path: "It wasn't a click, but rather a long journey, but I certainly didn't expect to climb the rankings so fast".
The Tuscan è was awarded as the best player of the year: "I have to thank the people who made it all possible, from Renzo to Tathiana and last but not least the Federation who supported us from all points of view, especially the medical one with specialists who followed us and who follow us in every tournament, è it was really a year of important people".
