Australian Open, Jannik Sinner leads the 9 Italians in the main draw
World tennis takes a few weeks off to coincide with the Christmas holidays, but the first Slam of the year, the Australian Open, is already preparing to open the 2025
The men’s and women’s entry lists have already been published. There are nine Italians directly admitted to the main draw in men’s singles, three Italians in women’s singles.
Among the men, Jannik Sinner (No. 1 ATP), Lorenzo Musetti (17), Flavio Cobolli (32), Matteo Berrettini (34), Matteo Arnaldi (37), Luciano Darderi (44), Lorenzo Sonego (53), Fabio Fognini (91) and Luca Nardi (92) enter directly.
In contrast, the women include Jasmine Paolini (No. 4 WTA), Elisabetta Cocciaretto (52) and Lucia Bronzetti (77). The tournament è is scheduled to start on Jan. 12, the men’s final will be played on Jan. 26 and the day before there will be the women’s final.
