The words of Frederic Vasseur

It è did not start in the best way the last weekend of the season in Abu Dhabi for Ferrari. In FP1, in fact, è came the 10-position penalty against Charles Leclerc, while in the second session the two drivers of the Maranello stable accumulated a gap of more than four tenths from McLaren. Despite the difficult start, at the microphones of "Sky Sport F1", team principal Frederic Vasseur did not want to lose confidence.

"Not è the ideal start, but we have to keep the same approach and focus on ourselves. We will see Sunday night where we will be. The constructors title è very difficult and with the penalty; our chances will be even less. No matter, we will keep pushing until the last corner of the last lap with both cars. We will see where the McLarens will be, but it would be a mistake to think too much about them" began the Ferrari team principal.

"If we look at Las Vegas and Qatar, è it&#39s always a matter of track temperature. It's hard to find the right tire window to be ready right away on Saturday, which means from one session to the next you have to optimize. The most important lap will be the last one in Q3, so we still have some time to prepare as best we can" continued the former Alfa Romeo.

"I think it has been a good season for us, considering the wins and the pole. The fact that we are still fighting for the constructors’ championship è a step forward. I am also pleased with the spirit of the team, è a good sign for the future" added the Draveil native.

"If I have to point out one aspect on which to improve I would say the preparation of the laps before the time-attack, because today Charles è found himself in traffic, he had to slow down and this is not è the ideal" concluded Frederic Vasseur.
