One point each for Genoa and Torino
Genoa-Torino 0-0
The challenge between Genoa and Torino that, at the Stadio 'Luigi Ferraris' in Genoa, è ended in a scoreless draw on Saturday afternoon. A result that was the result of a cautious approach by both teams, with only one real thrill: the goal scored by Karamoh at '89', annulled by referee Marinelli for a foul of hands by Saul Coco during the action.
Rather flat first half, with very little relevant action. The only really noteworthy chance comes right at 45', when in the Torino area a real melee is created with the ball in a dangerous position on the feet of Thorsby: the midfielder, however, not only fails to finish, but also gets a yellow card because in the movement of shooting he hits an opponent.
In the second half, the two coaches, Patrick Vieira for Genoa and Paolo Vanoli for Torino, try to change something with substitutions: in the Grifone there are Vitinha (67'), Balotelli (78') and Masini (88') in place of Badelj, Pinamonti and Thorsby, while in the ranks of the Granata Sosa, Karamoh (both at 69'), Lazaro, Njie (entered at 82') and Tameze (88') take the place of Vojvoda, Adams, Pedersen, Sanabria and Linetty.
The changes seemed to reward Toro at 89'89;, when precisely one of the newcomers, Yann Karamoh, scored: after verification in the VAR Room, however, a touch of hand by Saul Coco during the action was detected and the goal was annulled. The last dangerous chance comes on 93'with Tameze: great shot of the former Verona after a revisable exit of Leali, but the same goalkeeper makes up for it. So it ends 0-0, Genoa takes 15 points while Torino rises to 16.
