Carlos Sainz leaves Ferrari with pride and bitterness: ‘It wasn’t easy’
Carlos Sainz away from Ferrari with head held high: "I proved myself"
Carlos Sainz leaves Ferrari with a mixture of pride and bitterness after the last race in Abu Dhabi. In 2025 the Spanish driver will be at Williams: "It wasn't easy to run a full season and maintain concentration after the news of my departure. The level of attention to detail that I maintained until the end è was very high, and we also saw this when we considered the performance of the other drivers who did the whole season knowing that they would then leave".
"I am proud to have finished positively. I would have liked to win more in the four years at Ferrari but, given the situation, we did a good job. I like to leave the team in a better state than what I encountered when I arrived".
Sainz believes Ferrari "can win the World Championship next year. What we did together with Charles è was a great teamwork", are the words to Sky.
"I am pleased and proud of how Ferrari è remained in the game until the end for this title. To have a chance at’the last race, after what we suffered in the middle of the season, says a lot about the World Championship we tried".
