A great success

On the court, the best padel players in the world. On the stands of the’Allianz Cloud, a passion that is getting stronger and stronger. The numbers of the third edition of the Milan Premier Padel P1 confirm this: there were 32,200 spectators who came to watch the tournament, an increase of more than 7 percent compared to 2023 – when they were just over 30,000 – and 20 percent compared to 2022, the year in which Premier Padel appeared in Milan for the first time. A general growth to which is linked that on the ‘day by day’: if in the first two editions the’surge there’had been in the decisive weekend, the public response in the Milan Premier Padel P1 2024 è been positive already’in the first days of the tournament.

FANS AND PLAYERS One of the key goals was to attract the ‘newbies’ of padel, who had never heard of the ‘shovel’ and never approached a show like this. And one of the avenues taken è was to bring the players closer to the fans, to make them interact with their idols: with the help of sponsors, there were more than 20 ‘meet and greet’ inside the commercial village, with the players thus being able to interact with the Milan audience.

APP Meetings made even smarter thanks to notifications from the Milano Premier Padel app, which through push notifications updated members of all events scheduled for the days of the tournament. The new MPP app, in addition to offering real-time news and livescore of matches, è was created and used to make people experience the Allianz Cloud even while not being at the’Allianz Cloud.

CHILDREN Never before have we seen so many children, who represent the future of padel, as this year. Videos of two young fans who, over the course of the week, asked with classic posters to meet first Juan Lebron then Arturo Coello immediately went viral on social media. The ‘Lobo’, that child, got him on the court, giving him his jersey; Coello, on the other hand, met in the press room with a young fan who had nominated himself as his “next teammate”. And on Milan Premier Padel’s socials, videos of the ‘yellow wall’ composed of dozens of children with XL ball and marker pen hunting for autographs behind the benches after the end of matches can also be traced. Another sign of how passion is growing, even in the younger generation.
