Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini were honored by the WTA as the best doubles pair of 2024. A memorable season for the Azzurre, who take away another great satisfaction less than a month after their triumph in the Billie Jean King Cup in Malaga in the final with Slovakia.

Errani and Paolini experienced a season above expectations, winning WTA 1000 titles first in front of the home crowd at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia (Rome) and then at the China Open (Beijing), in addition to the WTA 500 Upper Austria Ladies Linz.

The Romagna and Tuscan tennis players reached their first Grand Slam finals together at Roland Garros before crowning a memorable summer by winning the gold medal in doubles at the Paris Olympics at the same venue, and ended the season by making their debut at the WTA Finals in Riyadh.

Recently, at the SuperTennis Awards, Sara Errani commented on the feats of the Olympic gold medalist, relaunching the challenge for 2025: "It was a lifelong dream, the biggest goal. We had a beautiful season and this year I believed in it a little more. In doubles we will try to become the world number one".
