Inter, Simone Inzaghi’s regret

These are the words of Inter coach Simone Inzaghi to the microphones of Sky Sport after the 1-0 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen, the first for the Italian champions in this edition of the Champions League, in which they had not conceded a single goal before today.

"We did too little. It è was not one of our best games, this è clear. We were facing an opponent of absolute value. We should have dared a little more, in the first half we could have done better, è we lacked quality in the last 25 meters. It hurts to lose it this way but it doesn&#39t dent our path in 4 months, tomorrow we will still be in the top 8 and it will depend on us in January, we have destiny in our hands. There'è regret for the goal taken in the 90' that way".

" We had to do more, when we started the maneuver in the first half there was a feeling that they could suffer too. We didn&#39t put in the quality that we know how to put in,” he added. “On the goal there was also a deflection, Mukiele tries to reverse and the ball comes back to him. At 90'we had to pay more attention, in the second half there was no warning even though we had done worse than the first half”.

“C’è regret, with a positive result you were keeping behind this team that deserves to be among the top. With a win in two matches we would have qualified among the top 8, now let’s see, let’s think about the championship and Super Cup", concluded Simone Inzaghi.
