Udinese-Napoli 1-3

Napoli answered Atalanta by beating Udinese 3-1 on Saturday’s Round of 16 of Serie A. At the Bluenergy Stadium, the Azzurri went down in the first half but in the second half they came back and swept away the Bianconeri thanks to goals by Lukaku and Anguissa, in addition to Giannetti’s own goal.

The guests actually got off to a good start, but Neres gobbled up the lead on one-on-one with Sava after 10 minutes. Three minutes later Thauvin returned the favor, shooting very high from the edge. On 21’ the French striker, however, makes up for it by putting the Friulians ahead with an easy tap-in after missing the penalty shot, parried by Meret. In the final, Sava saves on Anguissa.

At the beginning of the second half, Napoli evened the score: McTominay launched Lukaku, who ran into the open field and thunderbolted Sava. At 76’ the Azzurri turned it around: Neres sows panic in the Bianconeri defense and kicks finding the decisive deflection of Giannetti that mocks Sava. Five minutes later Anguissa closed the accounts, signing the final 3-1 at the end of a coast to coast.

With this victory, Napoli moves to 35 points, -2 from the leading Atalanta, while Udinese remains stuck at 20, in ninth place.
