Samp stops Spezia, Sassuolo sounds sixth and returns to the lead

Five matches were played on Saturday in the 17th day of Serie B. Sampdoria, led by new coach Leonardo Semplici, è managed to stop Spezia. At the Ferraris, in fact it ends 0-0 between blucerchiati, who momentarily leave the play-out zone, and bianconeri, who remain in third place.

Sassuolo continues to fly, stringing together its sixth consecutive victory and returning to the lead: at the 'Stirpe' the neroverdi overturned Frosinone, which had gone ahead halfway through the first half with Oyono, thanks to goals by Mulattieri at the end of the first half and the decisive one by Moro. With this defeat, however, the Ciociari remain in third'last place in the standings.

Cesena, which beat Cosenza 2-1, and Modena, which narrowly beat Reggiana in the derby, also won. At the 'Manuzzi' in Cesena the Bianconeri go into a double lead with Tavsan and Berti, then Ricciardi shortens the gap for the Rossoblù. Cesena flies to 25 points, momentarily in fourth place, while Cosenza remains at 16, fourth last. At the Mapei Stadium to the canarini is enough a goal by Mendes with which they bypass Reggiana and move to tenth place.

Finally, it ends in a draw between Sudtirol and Mantova at the 'Druso' of Bolzano: the hosts ahead with Merkaj but taken back by Galuppini; then Rover makes it 2-1 but the Lombards find again the draw with Aramu in the final. In the standings Sudtirol takes a small step, leaving the last position at the moment, while Mantua moves up to 19 points, in 12th place.
