Virtus Bologna asks for road in Trieste
Virtus Bologna ready to receive Trieste
Coming off a decidedly positive week, marked first by the success in the big league match against Olimpia Milano and then by the wire-to-wire victory in the Euroleague against Baskonia, Virtus Bologna faces Trieste without looking too much at the latter's recent path, which hasn't won since Nov. 3 and has lost four games in a row.
"Against Trieste we are expecting a tough game,” said Matt Morgan, guard for the Black Vu’s, during the match presentation.
“We want to keep our momentum going and play a good game in front of our fans, who will be really important for us. We want to win, but we also want to continue to improve and build".
" Our principles are to keep playing together and be a team. We want to get our third win in a row and to do that; we will have to be focused from’the beginning and for all 40 minutes" added Morgan, who arrived at Virtus this season after playing, in 2023/2024, with the London Lions.
After ten days of the championship, Virtus Bologna is part of the trio of teams with 16 points (the others are Trapani and Brescia) that share second place behind leader Trento, the only one with full points. Trieste, on the other hand, è in seventh place with 10 points, the same as Treviso and Tortona.
