Juventus accelerates for defensive coup. According to a report in La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri club has made progress in negotiations for Antonio Silva, a 2003-born defender from Benfica who could reinforce Thiago Motta’s team’s backline in January.

According to rumors the player's agent, Jorge Mendes, è in Turin these days and could soon meet with the club to give a decisive breakthrough to the negotiations.

The Bianconeri have been looking for a level defender for months after Bremer's injury and could put their faith in the promising Silva, who is playing less for the Eagles this season after being referred to in past years as one of the most promising defenders on the European scene.
