Nick Kyrgios leaves everyone stunned

Able to surprise fans and insiders often more for his statements than for his prowess on the court, Nick Kyrgios has displaced everyone even on the eve of the new season, choosing an "extra luxury" doubles partner with whom he will team up in the ATP tournament in Brisbane, one of the events that will kick off the 2025 of the racquet: it is, in fact, Novak Djokovic.

The news è was confirmed by the Australian athlete himself on his social channels: è an archive photo with him and Djokovic, accompanied by the inscription: "Doubles in Brisbane, see you there " was enough to unleash fans, already anxious to see at work one of the legends of tennis paired with one of the most controversial characters.

A curious aspect of the relationship between the two è the overall balance of direct clashes between Djokovic and Kyrgios, which smiles precisely on the latter: in fact, there are two victories of the Australian out of three meetings, although the third previous one, the 2022 Wimbledon final, smiled on Nole, who won in a comeback in four sets.

For Kyrgios, the Brisbane ATP will mark his official return to the ATP circuit after nearly two years of effective stop caused by a series of physical problems. The Australian, despite not taking the court, still had a chance to make people talk about him for his vitriolic statements against Jannik Sinner, to whom he promised battle in the event of a head-to-head clash at the Australian Open, the first slam of the season.
