Red Bull has made its choice on Max Verstappen’s partner
The long soap opera about Max Verstappen’s teammate in 2025 is finally coming to an end. For months there have been rumors and denials about the future of Sergio Perez, the protagonist of a very bad season with Red Bull but with a signed contract until the end of 2025.
Now the knots are coming to the boil: according to Canal+, the Mexican driver will no longer drive for Red Bull next season. The announcement of the divorce between Checo and the Austrian team should come by the end of this week, according to the French media.
Red Bull has reportedly already chosen his replacement: Liam Lawson, who thus surpasses Tsunoda and becomes an official driver, flanking Max Verstappen from the start of next season.
The New Zealand driver has 11 Grand Prix runs in 2023 and 2024 and had taken over from Daniel Ricciardo this year during the World Championship. Alongside Tsunoda in all likelihood will come young Isacc Hadjar.
